The PRB RENDERBOARD is suitable for internal applications e.g. bathrooms, wet rooms, showers, internal firewalls etc and is used in exterior applications for walls, either as a sheathing board, a directly-applied render application which may also be known as a water-managed render system, or as a ventilated render system, which is created by forming a cavity using treated timber battens or galvanised or stainless steel rails. An EWI System can also be installed onto the board, suject to a PRB specification, and the board can also be applied to soffits and ceilings.

The boards are generally laid horizontally and in a brickwork pattern e.g. the vertical board joints do not align one above the other so they are perpendicular to the direction of the substrate framework, however this may vary subject to the application so before proceeding always check.

The rough textured side of the board is the external face and this is the side that is rendered.

The boards are suitable to receive the PRB FONDISOL F or PRB FONDIMUR as a board jointing material in conjunction with the PRB AVN MESH, as a base coat in conjunction with the PRB AVN MESH and as an adhesive layer as part of a PRB DIRECT RENDER SYSTEM or PRB EWI SYSTEM subject to a PRB specification being issued.

PRB RENDERBOARD is a strong, robust, impact resistant fibre-reinforced lightweight cement board.

PRB RENDERBOARD is easy to cut and quick and easy to install.

PRB RENDERBOARD is safe to use and is guaranteed by CE mark and European Technical Approval ETA-21/0834.

PRB RENDERBOARD is non-combustible (class A1 fire rating) and provides a sound substrate that is water resistant and suitable for withstanding extreme weather conditions. It does not decay, deform, flake or crumble.

With the PRB RENDERBOARD, it is possible to achieve the same thermal performance as brick and block with a thinner wall.
